Experimental .62 has dropped. I'm sure there will be a few iterations before it hits stable. I'll keep this thread updated, enjoy. ;)

What is new in 0.62.139507 Exp:

  • New tree models
  • Denser forests
  • New clutter (grass, small plants)
  • New surface textures - plains and such
  • Improved wind behavior
  • New shader for the wind, affecting trees and grass
  • Tweaked and changed lighting for the world
  • Small improvements to satellite textures
  • Rain affected by wind and refinement of its behavior in general
  • Many reworked locations on Chernarus
  • Reworked ghillie (to be consistent with new tech)
  • Small bugfixes to some issues from 0.61
  • New ambient sounds

Exp Update 0.62.139653

New Experimental update with these changes:

  • Fixed inability to bind additional mouse keys
  • Fixed ironsight mode getting cancelled
  • Fixed some tree collisions
  • Some fixes in inputs
  • Some updated objects on the map:
    • many improvements to the object placement (mainly vegetation) around Pushtoshka, Lopatino, hills between Stary Sobor, Kabanino, Grishno and western border (still wip)
    • Changed: revision of deerstand locations across the Chernarus (including the addition of new ones and removal of some existing)
    • Fixed: many issues related to the map object placement (still wip)
    • Tweaked: colors of few solitary trees (such as apple tree)
    • Tweaked: brightness of railway tracks
    • Tweaked: lighting config for Chernarus
  • Updated Chernarus lighting
  • Tweaked Navmesh
  • Some dev-side stuff for our internal analysis

Character and persistence wipe, guys.

Good evening,

We are preparing 0.62.139701 update for Experimental branch. What is new:

  • fixed Q/E causing character to stutter during movement
  • committed changes that should help with both server performance and client fps drop/freeze in order to monitor its behavior in public environment

As always, when a build is on Exp/Unstable it is there for testing - so the aim is to find out if these changes were effective.

  • ambient sound volumes tweaked
  • map/navmesh updates
  • tweaked bus collisions to lessen the chance of it getting stuck on uneven terrain

Character wipe.
Expect character and persistence wipes for every exp update moving forward!

Exp Update 0.62.139808

  • hotfix for one of the most common server crashes
  • fixed incorrect object outlines when viewed against the sky
  • tweaked world lighting
  • map changes mainly around Gorka, altar, black forest
  • changed mid level detail texture for Chernarus
  • fixes for birch movement in the wind
  • items should no longer stretch when being rotated in inspect

Exp Update 0.62.139869

Changes on Experimental branch:

  • Map updates (Grishino, Kamensk village and hill)
  • Sky shader changes
  • Ambient insect audio tweaked

Known issue: only DayZ screen is present when connecting to a server and waiting for queue time.

Without characters wipe again.
